Alright, so I recently took a trip to the mall to pick up a few things. My main reason for driving to Round Rock, TX was to go to the MAC store and start my 15 set palette, but to my surprise small MAC stores do not make them. Yes I was mad but I ended up buying a lipstick and a lip liner that I had my eye on for a while....and let me tell you, this lip duo is well worth every penny. Y'all I couldn't resist okay lol I've been so indecisive on whether I should buy this shade. I'm always on the hunt for MAC lippies that are WOC friendly and I thought Velvet Teddy would be "chalky" but once you line it with MAC chestnut or MAC cork it's the closest thing to perfect for us brown girls.
I am obsessed with matte finishes and this matte shade is not drying like my favorite MAC Ruby Woo, so keep that in mind. This color really reminds me of a caramel latte lol SERIOUSLY. MAC chestnut is also a beautiful brown color and I could see myself wearing it alone buy filling in my lips and adding a gloss to it. This liner glides on like butter ! Now, there may be a dupe out there for Velvet Teddy, and I know there is a dupe for Chestnut and it's NYX Expresso. :)
